After a successful career in the political arena and oil industry, Scott joined BB&T Scott & Stringfellow in 1999, as a financial advisor, is a Managing Director and serves on the firm's Advisor Board.
Scott and his team believe in the golden rule and providing red carpet service to their clients. Through the Empower Planning Process, the team along with clients, develop a roadmap for investment and monitoring. This allows a client's money to be tied to their life experiences.
Scott is a Danville native and 1986 graduate of George Washington High School, attended Danville Community College and is a 1990 graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science.

Scott has a passion for community service as he serves on the board of directors of The Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce, The German Club of Danville and the Old Belt Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. His previous board duties include The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research, Danville Golf Club, Danville Concert Association, Langhorne House, Danville Historical Society, Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History and Pittsylvania County Red Cross. Additionally, Waller founded the first Business Network International chapter in Danville in 2000.
Scott has offices in Danville and Alexandria, Virginia. Lori Edmonds serves clients at the Danville location and Colleen Ryan is his client service associate in Alexandria.
